Research and Sources

As promised, here are some of the useful books and articles I recommend for research. It’s all for my medieval Morocco books at present but I will add sections in future!

It is important – especially writing outside my “lane” – to be accurate. I eschew the fetishisation of culture. I strive to write people with their own pardigms rather than, yuh know… The Sheikh and His Harem Girl.
